Role
Senior product designer working collaboratively in Agile, on a two-week Sprint delivery basis. The project team scaled up rapidly and the design work passed through different designers' hands before I joined the team. The role was to realign the designs, freshen and redefine the design system with methodology. Also to come up with ideas for new functionalities, design experience consistencies and principles in collaborative workshops.
Design opportunity
By following the Brad Frost atomic design methodology, each reusable assets and components can be clearly reorganised with hierarchy and consistency, leading the teams and company to design, realise, and develop faster digital products efficiently at scale.
Design system built with Figma includes:
- Atoms, Molecules, Organisms, Templates, Pages components hierarchy and guidelines
- Accessibility (minimum AA compliant)
- Auto layout on components where possible
Technical challenge
An audit helped to understand all the existing and inconsistent components to be able to realign with the technical teams and implement across platform, Fractal and design.

As a team, the goal was to review the existing customer journeys and identify where the pain points were. User research insights helped to understand the human behaviour and needs when users are browsing the pub details page leading to the booking journey.
